Lanzarote, Canary Islands, December 2015

So it started with Go Opti that picked us up in Koper and drove us to the Milano's airport Orio al Serio.
It took us almost 4 hours to get to the airport.

Return Go Opti transport: From Koper to Orio al Serio airport: 70eur per person - with promotion code
(otherwise would be 74 per person at these dates).

We were flying with Ryanair to Canary Island's smallest island - Lanzarote.

Found it adorable.
You can park in front of the Orio Al Serios'
airport for 5 minutes to kiss and then fly away.

<3 VS <3

Total paid return tickets for two persons were 172euros (86euros per person)
plus extra 25euros for 1st checked bag 15kg
(so we could put all the bought stuff in it, because of course you cannot carry fluids in the hand luggage).

We flew for 4 hours (Lanzarote is one hour behind us - that's is what you can notice on the Ryanair's reservation: it says from 3 hours Milan to Lanzarote and 5 hours Lanzarote to Milan).
It's just the time zone.

 Didn't win anything.

I bless the rain down in Africa ...

After 4 hours we landed by the sea. We landed at 18:15 pm and I recall walking outside with my coat on, because I totally forgot it won't be necessary.
We landed into 21 degrees Celsius' territory ...

I was glad I did some screenshots in Koper before we've even gone anywhere.
I knew at some point we would walk out of the airport and had to hop on the bus to get to our room.

Only had this in my phone's gallery, but helped a lot.

Our apartment was in Costa Teguise so we had to take the bus number 22 /23 from the airport and
hop off in Arrecife (the capital of Lanzarote) where we had to switch for the bus number 1.

The best station to get off was Pueblo Marinero from where you just had to
walk about 3 minutes to get to Oceano Apartments.

Loved the accommodation. Muchas gracias para todo, Oceano Apartments.

Studio Standard - 7 nights (1 room for two persons): 168euros for both (84euros per person).
We booked it in advance (in June).

 Going out for dinner.
Decent prices, delicious food, wifi (!) and strong drinks.

Surfing day 1 (beginners level) with Lavaflow Surfing School.
For a day it costed us 30euros per person, so for three days 90euros alltogether.
Great experience, but wouldn't do it again.

Went grocery shopping to Spar.

 The view from our balcony.

When the sun goes down ...
And you can still walk around in your swimming suit.
Keep in mind, it is December in here.

Home-cooked pasta prevailed over La Hacienda tonight.

Surfing day 2: Got hit by the surf in the feet.
Started to hate the waves so much I went for a walk.
And then climbed a bit.

 Back to the surfing van.

Surfing day 3.

 Lavazza?
Coffee time!

La Hacienda again.
Margarita instead of Sangria.

 Arrecife, the capital of Lanzarote.

That was in restaurant El Galeon.
Way cheaper than La Hacienda.

San Miguelito.

Decided to do that Short South tour.
Had to wake up early - we left Costa Teguise at 8.25am.

Off to National park Timanfaya (Parque Nacional de Timanfaya).

That is Anja's panoramma.

 Found this one adorably-hilarious.

Driving to Playa Blanca.

Starter: Canarian potatoes with Mojo Dip. Yummy.
Rolled up perfectly.

Last day and then ''adios''.

One week of Lanzarote, living like we did would cost you around 800euros per person.

CALCULATION:
 84eur (room)
+ 100eur (plane)
+  70eur (Go Opti)
-----------------------
254eur
